Description

Organic Breathe Eze Cosy Crib

Our Australian designed Breathe Eze Organic Cosy Crib is the perfect sleeping pod for safe sleeping for your baby in their cot, next to you or out and about.

The Breathe Eze firm fibre construction provides your baby with a secure, safe and allergy-resistant environment to cuddle and sleep. Used together with the babyhood Sleep Positioner, this sleep system will provide you with the confidence to also have a good night’s sleep. (The babyhood Sleep Positioner is sold separately.)

Designed over 20 years ago and tried and tested by thousands of parents and their bubs, globally.  Whilst recently, there are a few sleeping nests being introduced to the market, our much loved Breathe Eze Cosy Crib is unique because it is safer for your baby.

Why is our Breathe Eze Organic Cosy Crib safe?

The babyhood Breathe Eze Organic Cosy Crib has features and is designed differently to many of the sleeping pods in the market. We have been manufacturing and sharing our Cosy Cribs with Aussie parents for almost 20 years now.  We also now sell them globally for parents who want a safer option for a sleeping pod for their baby.

The reasons why?

Our Breathe Eze Organic Cosy Cribs are:

• The mattress is flat and does not have an incline. An incline is dangerous as it lifts your baby’s head (chin to chest).

• Tight fitting fabric covers so no loose or excessive fabric reducing the risk of entrapment – take the “pinch test” today on a whole range of sleeping pods and immediately you will see why ours is safer with no excessive bedding.

• Firm fibre so the mattress is not soft and squishy. This reduces the risk of suffocation if your baby rolls into the mattress. The mattress complies with AS/NZS 8811.1:2013 Methods of testing infant products – Sleep Surfaces – Test for firmness so you know it is safe for your baby.

• There are no ties or clips or any attachments that your baby can be entrapped in which may cause a strangulation hazard.

Designed to allow you to safely sleep your newborn baby in accordance with safe sleep practices as it has a separate mattress that you can tuck your baby’s bedding under so bub is snuggled up, safely flat on their back with no suffocation hazards.

• Made from breathable cotton fabrics allow for continuous airflow through the pod.

• Made from organic cotton fabrics which are certified by internationally recognised GOTS certification test facility – read more about the benefits of organic below.

• The inner core is made from breathable fibre which is a heat bonded polyester fibre which allows for airflow and is allergy and dust mite resistant (NO foam is used in the construction of our cosy cribs as we do not believe it is safe for your baby. Foam contains hazardous chemicals, it is not breathable and not washable)

• Fully washable so it is more hygienic for your baby.

These features are unlike any other baby nests that have recently been introduced into the market, so take the pinch test today to see why ours are safer.

We are the original Australian designed sleeping pod – tried and tested by Aussie parents for almost 20 years – so you can feel more confident using our Cosy Crib for your baby.

Safer for Sleeping

We are confident that our Cosy Cribs are safe for overnight sleep. Watch our VLOG to see why.

Breath Baby, Breathe

The breathe eze firm fibre construction provides your baby with a secure, safe and allergy-resistant environment to cuddle and sleep.

No Strangulation Hazards

Unlike other baby nests or docks, there are no ties or clips that could cause a strangulation or entrapment hazard.

No Suffocation Hazards

Do the pinch test today so you can see there is no excessive fabric to create a potential suffocation hazard.

Safer Mattress Construction

With firm Breathe Eze Fibre mattress which is designed to be separated from the Cosy Crib not just for washing but so you can safely sleep your baby tucking them in with a sheet or muslin. Watch our VLOG to see how.

Uniquely Different

There are a few baby nests being introduced to the market but our Breathe Eze Cosy Crib is unique because it is designed to be safer.

Organic Cotton

Now you can rest easy, knowing your child is not inhaling anything toxic. Best of all it maximises your baby’s comfort and ensures they stay cosy and itch-free.

Better for Your Baby’s Skin

As organic cotton always keeps its natural state, it makes it mould resistant and antimicrobial too, so there is less of a chance of your child developing skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis and skin allergies.

Versatile

The perfect sleeping pod for safe sleeping for your baby in their cot, next to you or travelling with the family (provided it is flat and safe!)

Practical for You

We design them so you can safely sleep baby flat on their back, as recommended by medical experts. See our Safe Sleeping Guidelines below.

Hygienic for Your Baby

As it is fully machine washable with the inner core and mattress.

Australian Designed and Loved for 20 Years

Tried and tested successfully by thousands of parents and their babies, globally.

Your baby is the most precious little human in your life. Naturally, you want to do everything you can to ensure that they have the best in life. You may have already switched to organic food to guarantee they are healthy on the inside so why not ensure what you wrap them in is safe too? We have compared why it is best to choose organic products for your baby.

The big difference between organic and conventional cotton is the way the product is produced, and the amount of toxic chemicals used in the process. This is how organic cotton is produced:

• It is harvested delicately with the use of natural cotton seeds.

• The soil used is chemical free.

• Farmers only use rainwater to grow the crop.

• No chemicals or pesticides are sprayed at any stage of the process.

• The cotton balls are handpicked and never bleached or dyed with the use of toxic chemicals.

• If dyes are used, they are usually plant based, nontoxic dyes.

It lasts longer

This is because organic cotton’s resilient fibres have not been damaged by chemicals during the growing and weaving process.

It’s Free from Toxic Chemicals

So you can rest easy, knowing your child is not inhaling anything toxic.

It’s Softer and More Comfortable

Maximising your baby’s comfort and ensuring they stay cosy and itch-free.

It’s Better for Your Baby’s Skin

As organic cotton always keeps its natural state, it makes it mould resistant and antimicrobial too, so there is less of a chance of your child developing skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis and skin allergies.

It’s Better for The Environment

No chemicals are used, and farmers recycle rainwater so water from conservations isn’t wasted.

It’s Better for Farmers

The farmers aren’t exposed to any harmful chemicals and don’t inhale any pesticides and insecticides. They also aren’t forced into debt from purchasing expensive GMO seeds.

How do we know our textiles are Organic Cotton?

We use certified textiles by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), which is the worldwide leading textile processing standard for organic fibres, including ecological and social criteria, backed up by independent certification of the entire textile supply chain.

To obtain the GOTS “organic” label, a product must:

• Contain at least 95% organic fiber

• Not be treated with bleach, formaldehyde or any other toxic substances

• Be colored with nontoxic dyes

• Be produced in a mill that enforces strict social and environmental standards, treating their employees and the earth with deep respect.

• GOTS certification means that our products meet the very highest standards.

Features

• A safer mattress for your baby as it is not inclined to force your baby’s chin to drop to their chest which can cause fatal injuries.

• The mattress on our cosy cribs complies with AS/NZS 8811.1:2013 Methods of testing infant products – Sleep Surfaces – Test for firmness.

• Breathe Eze fibre mattress for added safety and better durability during washing

• Firm and supportive Breathe Eze fibre

• No excessive fabric or covers

• GOTS certified organic cotton cover

• Dust mite resistant

• No toxic chemicals like formaldehyde

• Machine washable as per the washing instructions ( Wash noodle with cover and do not open the zipper or remove the insert – this zipper is for manufacturing purposes only to get a nice tight fit!)

• Ideal for use with a babyhood sleep positioner to create the “babyhood Breathe Eze Sleep System”

Regulatory Standards

The mattress on our cosy cribs complies with AS/NZS 8811.1:2013 Methods of testing infant products – Sleep Surfaces – Test for firmness.

Safe Sleeping Practices

When using a babyhood cot we recommend that you follow safe sleeping practices. Whilst we appreciate and respect a parent’s right to make the right choices for their family, there are guidelines recommended by the medical experts for safer sleeping for your babies because we all want happy and healthy bubs.

These guidelines include:

Always sleep baby on their back from birth, not on their tummy or side.

Make sure there are no loose objects or extra linen on your baby’s cot.

Make sure your baby’s mattress is firm and clean.

Lay your baby on a flat and uninclined surface.

We know that there are many baby nests in the market that promote that they are like a cocoon for your baby to feel like they are in your womb and reduce the risk of reflux. These products are angled and do not provide your baby with a flat surface to sleep on. An infant’s head is often a little larger and unsupported at birth, so their heads tend to tip forward naturally. So, it is important to lay your baby on a flat surface for sleeping. Products where the surface curves can bring your baby’s chin to the chest. This will make it harder for your little bub to breath, as their airways are compressed. This is very dangerous. Medical experts do not recommend you incline a baby for sleeping unless they are in a hospital environment and are supervised by medical experts. This is because it can be fatal to your baby. The Australia Government is currently in the process of considering banning products that incline for sleeping. Keep your baby safe and do not trust brands or products that incline your baby for sleeping. If you would like more information, please watch our BLOG about safe sleeping.

If you have questions about how to use our products please call us or email us, we are always happy to guide you to create a safe environment for your baby using our products.

“Super trendy and something I usually wouldn’t have the confidence to go for. Timber is a natural product; that is part of its beauty, so a colour variation, knots in the timber and grain pattern are both natural and to be expected. We do not colour match timber during fabrication as the waste from such practices would be environmentally irresponsible, so you will see some variations in your products. We believe this is what makes our timber products naturally beautiful. These variations are unavoidable as timber is seasonal and will vary between season, including the way in which the paint appears on different surfaces.
